Meghalaya’s Housing Mission is an important part of the State’s special focus on Social Infrastructure and Human Development, of which ‘Housing for the Rural Poor’ is one of the 5 priority development targets for the State. Under the ‘Housing Mission’, houses to be constructed will also take into consideration the One Health concept of addressing the human development indicators such as education, health, sanitation, employment, safety & dignity etc., through the model designs.
Under the PMAY-G and Awaas+ programs, the State of Meghalaya is targeting to construct approximately 1,50,000 houses within 2024. Given the target and limited time for completion, the State through the State Rural Employment Society (SRES) has devised this special mission to ensure timely and quality completion.
The video is an attempt at sensitizing the masses and urging them to avail the PMAY scheme in Meghalaya.
