The Government Innovation Lab (GIL) is built on the learnings from Meghalaya’s State Capability Enhancement Project (SCEP) framework, a homegrown initiative by the Government of Meghalaya which has successfully developed and implemented innovative programs across several domains.

India’s national policy think-tank, the NITI Ayog has recognised GIL as a State Institute of Transformation (SIT) for facilitating strategic planning and designing innovations across departments and stakeholders.
