Existing Village Level Committees are work together to implement this Mission. Driven by community institutions and local resources, the Mission aims to create safe environments to foster improved health, economic growth & poverty reduction.

Role of Village Institutions

VHC

Village Health Council (VHC) is responsible for ensuring that ventilation and sanitation standards are met in the houses being constructed. They play a crucial role in promoting healthy living environments within the community.

VO

Village Organization (VO) works to register women beneficiaries as members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Additionally, VO’s provide essential financial support through low-interest top-up loans sourced from their savings and Community Investment Support Fund (CIF) or Cash Credit Limit (CCL).

VW&SC​

Village Water & Sanitation Committee (VW&SC) is tasked with providing sanitation provisions under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and facilitating water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for the houses being constructed. Their efforts contribute significantly to improving the overall hygiene and sanitation conditions within the village.

VWRC/NRMC​

Village Water Resource Committee or Natural Resource Management Committee (VWRC/NRMC) focuses on ensuring proper watershed management and catchment area protection for water sources in their respective villages. By safeguarding water resources, they play a vital role in ensuring access to clean and sustainable water for the community.
