As part of the Human Development Leadership Programme (HDLP), a field visit was conducted to Mawlyngngad Village, Mawryngkneng Block. Home to 3,200 residents, the village is known for its 25 active Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and 320 job card holders, but faces challenges such as high-risk pregnancies and vaccine hesitancy.
Led by the Principal Secretary, the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, and the Block Development Officer, the visit focused on addressing healthcare barriers and fostering trust through direct community engagement.
