K–12: Bringing Digital Learning into Classrooms Through MPOWER

Exploring how CK-12 digital learning is making classroom experiences more interactive, engaging and accessible for students in Meghalaya.

On September 23, 2026, the MPOWER Team visited two schools in East Khasi Hills district to document ongoing CK-12 digital learning classes as part of its field documentation efforts under the Learning Mission.

The visit focused on understanding how students engage with digital content, interactive lessons and technology-enabled learning in the classroom. It also provided an opportunity to observe how CK-12 tools are being integrated into teaching practices and how digital resources are shaping students’ learning experiences.

Understanding Digital Learning in the Classroom

During the visit, the team interacted with a teacher to understand the integration of CK-12 tools into classroom teaching, including their role in student participation, understanding of concepts and learning outcomes. The discussion also explored the challenges encountered during implementation.

The team also interviewed a student to capture their experience of learning through digital platforms, including how easily they could understand concepts and whether the interactive content made classroom learning more engaging and accessible.

These interactions offered an opportunity to document the perspectives of both teachers and students on the use of digital resources in everyday classroom learning.

Documenting Learning Through Technology

As part of the Learning Mission under MPOWER, the field visit forms part of ongoing efforts to document the implementation of CK-12 digital learning in schools across Meghalaya. By capturing classroom experiences and gathering feedback from teachers and students, the initiative seeks to build a clearer understanding of how digital tools are being used in teaching and learning environments.
